What happened between King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn?

Anne Boleyn and King Henry VIII married on January 25th, 1533 but the troubles between them started far before that. King Henry VIII first saw Anne in 1526. After that the king was out to make her his mistress but Anne wanted to be more. Anne eventually told King Henry VIII that it was wife or nothing. In 1527, King Henry VIII set out for an annulment from his first wife so he was free to marry again, free to marry Anne. King Henry VIII was head over heels for Anne. He started writing her love letters, a very big compliment considering he didn't like to write. The trial for an annulment went on, despite King Henry's love for Anne. Anne got very frustrated, and many fights were created due to the lack of progress that was being made in court. Meanwhile, Anne seemed to be getting less and less popular with the people of England. Anne had a bad temper, and seemed to be a gold digger.

King Henry VIII Vs. The Catholic Chruch

King Henry VIII was born on June 28th 1491 in London, England. He was the son of King Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. King Henry VIII was most famous for having six wives. The reason he's so famous for that is because back then with the Catholic religion, divorce wasn't aloud. The first of his six wives was Catherine of Aragon. The pope didn't like the idea of the marriage, because Catherine was Henry VIII's brothers widow, but Henry and Catherine got married anyway. This is where his coexistence problem kicks in. Catherine couldn't give him a son, and he wanted a son to be his heir because no woman had been the heir to a throne in England yet. King Henry was so upset with the fact he couldn't have a son with Catherine, he went to the pope and asked him to allow a divorce, the pope wouldn't allow it. King Henry got so mad that he dropped from the catholic church. Many people were upset about his drop from the catholic church, but he didn't care, he wanted a divorce and in the end that's what he got. King Henry got his divorce from Catherine of Aragon on May 23rd 1533.

What is Judaism?

There are many religions. So many that I don't think it's possible to know of all of them. For World Studies we had to do a project on common religions. One common religion that we had to study was Judaism.

Founder:
Judaism is traced back to the beginning of mankind. We credit the find to a group of Hebrews. The leader of the group who is credited for the find is Abraham. He founded Judaism in around 1300 B.C. Abraham didn't actually discover the God but he was called by the God who is already known into a covenant.
Followers:
Judaism is the 12th biggest religion in the world. There are 14 million people who follow Judaism. The most popular places for Judaism are Israel, Europe, and the USA. Those are not the only places that Judaism exists, but they're the more common places. People who follow Judaism live by one God. Their purpose of life is to obey god. They live by the law and make amends with their sins.
Holy Books:
There are many books that people who follow Judaism have many holy books. For example there is the Talmud, Torah, Tanakh, Responsa, Midrash, Nevi'im, and Ketuvim. The most important books are probably the Torah, and Tanakh. The Tanakh and Torah are both jewish bibles. They contain what Christians would call the "old testaments".
Holidays:
Judaism is a religion with many holidays. Many holidays I haven't even heard about. They have the Day of Awe, Pesach, Perim, Sukkot, Shabbat, etc. The holiday that I know the most about is Hanukkah A.K.A The Festival of Lights. Hanukkah starts on the twenty-fifth day of the jewish month Kislev-which is in November or December on the Gregorian calender. When celebrating Hanukkah you light one candle everyday for eight days. Hanukkah is held to celebrate the victory of the Jews against the Hellenist Syrians in 165 B.C.
Rituals/Customs:
Every religion has its own customs and beliefs and Judaism is no different. People who follow Judaism believe in many things that christians believe in like death, divorce, marriage, and mourning.

Why is music important?

I think music is important because everyone can relate to it. There's always one song you can relate to. I only have one problem with music, or at least popular music. It's all about the same thing! There are so many songs about love and just pointless stuff. I know most people can relate to love... but what about the people who can't? My favorite bands are the ones that I can relate too. But, on the other hand, every song that doesn't really have a point has a good beat, and that's why it's popular, and I don't know why.. but it bugs me. Okay. So let's imagine a world without music. What would we have to relate to? What about the people who have nothing but music? If I didn't have music... I don't know what i'd do. Music is the thing that gets me through the day, and I know a lot of people who are the same way. I believe that we all need music. it can cheer you up on a sad day when no one, not even your best friend, can make you feel better. Music is the one thing that, even when everyone leaves, it's there. Let's say you get in a humungous fight with your family, and your best friends out of town, with no reception. What else could be there to relate to and take your mind off of things? ..... anyone? ..... no? MUSIC! :D Music is in everyones, everyday life. And that's why it's important. You never know when your gonna need something to cheer you up.. but when you do music is something you know will be there, because it never leaves.

Cool website on getting along!

I found a really cool website on getting along. It talks about how when you have problems with people, you should sit down and talk about it. They call it the BAM! system. For me sitting down and talking about stuff would probably help with some of my problems, but might not be so good for my writing. Everyone has conflicts, and musicians, in this case the people who write songs, usually write about heartbreak, or just arguments they have with people, but if everyone sat down and talked about it they would probably either not write songs, because they have no inspiration, or write happier songs. For other musicians it could be a good thing, i mean everyone likes happy songs, but their are points when you are in the mood to listen to sad songs. I think the websites good for anyone. It helped me realize, that as much as I hate the pain, if I didn't have the pain I wouldn't be able to enjoy writing, or singing, or playing instruments as much as I do. (I only play instruments to write songs, i don't play anything else then the songs I write, and a secret between you and me.. I don't think I could try to play a song by someone else if I tried, it would take some long, hard work, and someone would definitely have to teach me.) But for a lot of other people the website could teach them a lot of other things. So I think it's good for everyone, musicians, writers, footballers, ect.

Co-Existence

As part of team 3 I am excited to be blogging this year on the topic of co-existence. This quarter I want to write about the Musical community. The musical community can include anyone who sings, or plays an instrument. Music exists everywhere, and can be happening at anytime. Some people set up a certain type of day to play there music, and some people just play whenever they have free time. Musicians tend to be very dedicated people, they can play, or do the things they do because they take the time too, most things in this life take time, which is a problem for a lot of musicians, because they tend to be very impatient. Well I'm a very impatient person at least, and i know a lot of other musicians who are, not all are though. Music comes naturally to some people, and those are the ones who tend to be most impatient. Some musicians have to take a lot of time to learn how to play the guitar, or piano, and those are the ones who, from what I see, are the most patient. Music is a part of everyday life for everyone, but for musicians it's there life.
