Eddie Speaks.

Today during second and third period in school we had a speaker, Eddie Slowikowski. It was pretty interesting. He was a pretty good dancer.(: Not only was it fun, but he also made sure he taught us something too. At first, he was just talking and I was like "this is never gonna end!" but a few minutes into the speech he made us get up and dance. He made sure we did plenty of activities to help us understand what he was teaching. He would also tell us stories, inspiring stories and stories that were funny. There was lots of dancing and clapping, and in the end I ended up enjoying the speech. :) So you should check out his website because he's cool(:

How does Animal Farm relate to my life?

Animal Farm is a book we are reading in English. Its about farm animals who don't like it on the farm so they try to take over. We've gotten through the first chapter so far. The first chapter is about Old Majors (a pig) dream. The dream was basically a realization that they don't get treated how they deserve to be treated and want things to change. This relates to my life because every once in a while I want things to change. I don't want to be the way I am or hang out with the people I do because of the way I get treated or something. One time I actually changed it because after a long period of time I realized I didn't like who I was or the people around me where. They were basically using me which is one of my pet peeves. So I cut off my connections with my friends and started talking to different people. As of right now I like my life, the people I hang out with and who I am. I mean every once in a while I'll stop and and think about if I really do make the right decisions and such, and sometimes I don't make the right decisions. I'm still young though, I'm gonna make mistakes. I change my mind about things a lot though, so I'm kind of anticipating the day that I wake up and decide my friends are bad influences or something like that. Well, as you can see my life does relate to Animal Farm in certain ways.

What holds power in my life?

There are a lot of things that hold power in my life. There isn't one thing in my life that has the most power. Because everything is constantly changing, there are multiple different things that hold tons of power. The things that hold power in my life differ, from guys, to friends, to family. It's all important. I've spent hours thinking about what holds power in my life, but there isn't one thing that holds the most. I've come to the conclusion there are two. My friends and family hold the most power in my life. If I'm not with my friends, I'm texting them or conversing in some way, shape, or form, and the same goes for my family. Because my mom has control over everything I do, and my friends are what I do everything with. Although, there are many other things in my life that hold power. "Becoming a Fan" on face book takes a lot of my time. So, I guess the point of this post is that, though, there are a lot of things in my life that hold power, family and friends defiantly hold the most.

Cause Effect Essay

In the United states about 1400 teenagers die from drugs every year. Some might argue teens start using drugs because they're curious or want a way to escape everyday life; however, the main reason they start using drugs is because of pressure from their friends.

There are many reasons that teenagers start using drugs. Some teens may start because their parents push them so hard that they fall right into drugs. Sometimes teenagers are just curious and want to experiment and see how they like them. Teenagers might even start using drugs to try to escape what they consider problems. Family problems, boyfriend/girlfriend problems, and problems with friends can all drive kids to drugs. There are so many things that can push teens to drugs.

The main reason teenagers start using drugs is because of pressure from their friends. When you reach high school, you establish a group of friends. Sometimes the friends that you make or want to make do some not so good things. The bad things they do could include drugs, drinking, having sex. If your friends do that stuff sooner or later either your going to choose to yourself or they're gonna influence you to try them. A lot of teens say yes when they get offered drugs because they don't want to be the person who says no and gets made fun off. Another example of pressure from peers is if you don't have any friends but you want to make some. If the friends you want to make do bad things, they might tell you in order to be their friend you have to do what they do. Teens have a ton of pressure from peers.

Drugs are a very influential thing these days, especially for teenagers and friends are the one thing that every teenager wants. Some teens will do anything for friends, including drugs. Therefore, Friends sometimes control your life when you're a teenager and though there are many other reasons kids may start doing drugs friends really is the main reason.

What happened between King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn?

Anne Boleyn and King Henry VIII married on January 25th, 1533 but the troubles between them started far before that. King Henry VIII first saw Anne in 1526. After that the king was out to make her his mistress but Anne wanted to be more. Anne eventually told King Henry VIII that it was wife or nothing. In 1527, King Henry VIII set out for an annulment from his first wife so he was free to marry again, free to marry Anne. King Henry VIII was head over heels for Anne. He started writing her love letters, a very big compliment considering he didn't like to write. The trial for an annulment went on, despite King Henry's love for Anne. Anne got very frustrated, and many fights were created due to the lack of progress that was being made in court. Meanwhile, Anne seemed to be getting less and less popular with the people of England. Anne had a bad temper, and seemed to be a gold digger.

King Henry VIII Vs. The Catholic Chruch

King Henry VIII was born on June 28th 1491 in London, England. He was the son of King Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. King Henry VIII was most famous for having six wives. The reason he's so famous for that is because back then with the Catholic religion, divorce wasn't aloud. The first of his six wives was Catherine of Aragon. The pope didn't like the idea of the marriage, because Catherine was Henry VIII's brothers widow, but Henry and Catherine got married anyway. This is where his coexistence problem kicks in. Catherine couldn't give him a son, and he wanted a son to be his heir because no woman had been the heir to a throne in England yet. King Henry was so upset with the fact he couldn't have a son with Catherine, he went to the pope and asked him to allow a divorce, the pope wouldn't allow it. King Henry got so mad that he dropped from the catholic church. Many people were upset about his drop from the catholic church, but he didn't care, he wanted a divorce and in the end that's what he got. King Henry got his divorce from Catherine of Aragon on May 23rd 1533.
